The challenge
Turn personalized training into a workflow that a coach can manage and a student can follow on mobile. Plans, completed sessions and progress need to remain distinct and understandable.
My contribution
- Built coach and student experiences with authentication and role-based access.
- Implemented programs, workout templates, scheduling, session recording and progress views.
- Added check-ins, feedback and alerts to support ongoing follow-up.
Engineering decisions
- Next.js and TypeScript organize the interface and server endpoints; Firebase supports authentication, Firestore and private media storage.
- Operational data is scoped to organizations. Planned snapshots and actual exercise results are stored separately.
- Completed sessions are immutable. Firestore rules and domain tests cover permissions and training behavior.
Outcome
Delivered a connected training workflow rather than a presentation-only website. The linked public entry point introduces the coach; operational screens require the appropriate role.
