The challenge
Support different moments in a race participant’s journey: exploring courses, registering and accessing runner information. The deliveries address separate workflows for the same client.
My contribution
- Built a registration system with user accounts, validation and password recovery.
- Integrated PayPal, Mercado Pago and automated email notifications.
- Developed race tracking and information views with interactive maps and elevation profiles.
- The current public race website is included alongside registration and tracking in this case.
Engineering decisions
- Registration and tracking use React, Node.js, Express and MySQL, according to the original delivery documentation.
- React Leaflet powers interactive course maps. Payment and email integrations support the registration workflow.
- The public website and operational applications are separate deliveries; the stack listed here describes the registration and tracking systems.
Outcome
Several related deliveries are presented together to explain the client relationship without counting the same product as unrelated projects. The current race website links to course and registration information.
